Airwallex is an AI-native financial operating system serving over 675,000 businesses globally, including McLaren Racing, Qantas, SHEIN, and TikTok. The company operates as a regulated backbone for global payments with 85+ licenses and a presence across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. Co-headquartered in San Francisco and Singapore with 2,300+ employees across 27 offices.
As Corporate Secretary for the Americas, you will build and own the corporate secretarial function for Airwallex's growing portfolio of licensed entities across the region. You'll manage the complete company secretarial and corporate governance lifecycle, including entity incorporations, restructurings, capital injections, wind-downs, statutory filings, and entity records maintenance. Your responsibilities include organizing and facilitating board, committee, and general meetings end-to-end—preparing agendas, resolutions, minutes, and presentation materials while tracking follow-ups and action items.
You'll partner closely with the Head of Corporate Legal, Corporate Development & Investor Relations, Finance, Tax, People & Talent, Regulatory Legal, directors, and external providers to ensure governance operations remain accurate, timely, and scalable. Additional responsibilities include supporting equity (options and RSU) administration, shareholder matters, and governance improvements as Airwallex expands across jurisdictions.
The role is hybrid, requiring presence in the New York or San Francisco office on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. You'll work across multiple time zones with a globally distributed team spanning APAC and EMEA regions.
The Legal team sits at the heart of Airwallex's growth decisions, backing builders transforming the company into a generational financial institution. This team works alongside product, sales, and business partners to shape a global licensing footprint while maintaining best-in-class brand and data architecture for customers entering the agentic economy. The role requires balancing the business's need to move fast on product, revenue, and market expansion with the discipline required to protect the company's regulatory moat.
