Abnormal AI is seeking a Strategic Events Specialist to lead and support the company's event programs across EMEA. This is a hands-on individual contributor role where you'll own end-to-end execution of established event formats—from logistics and vendor management through on-site delivery and post-event analysis—while contributing to broader team initiatives. You will manage multiple concurrent events across different time zones and markets, handling everything from creative tasks and catering to staff schedules and promotional assets. You'll coordinate with external stakeholders including venues, agencies, event organizers, and hotels. Key responsibilities include supporting EMEA strategic event mapping and calendar planning, building cross-functional relationships with Revenue Marketing, Sales, SDR/BDR, Customer Marketing, Product, Sales Engineering, and Partner/Alliance teams. You'll own budget tracking for your events, suggest cost-effective alternatives, manage purchase orders and invoices, and lead on-site execution including staff training and real-time troubleshooting. Post-event, you'll handle admin tasks, build repeatable regional playbooks, run retrospectives to capture lessons learned, and ensure alignment with regional teams on ROI realization through lead status reporting. This role is ideal for someone seeking their next step up—you'll run established formats independently while leaning on your manager for guidance on new activations. You'll travel roughly 40–50% across EMEA, with some APAC and AMER travel, including evening/weekend work around live events. REQUIREMENTS: - 2–4 years' experience in B2B events or experiential marketing, ideally within technology, SaaS, cybersecurity, or enterprise software - Proven experience owning established, repeatable event formats end-to-end (not just coordinating logistics) - Experience running executive-level programs (dinners, roundtables, advisory boards) and larger conference/trade show activations - Multi-market EMEA experience and ability to work across different time zones and regions - Strong program management habits: organized, deadline-driven, increasingly independent on routine work - Budget, vendor, and contract management experience across multiple concurrent workstreams - Confidence working cross-functionally with Sales, SDR/BDR, and Marketing stakeholders - Ability to present event results and ROI using registration, pipeline, and engagement data - Willingness to travel 40–50% mainly across EMEA PREFERRED: - Experience with event and marketing technology (Asana, Allocadia, Coupa, Jifflenow, Cvent, Salesforce, Sigma, Splash, RainFocus, Claude, Google Suite) - Additional European language - Familiarity with account-based marketing (ABM) principles and target-account event strategies
