Abnormal AI is seeking a Strategic Events Specialist to lead and support the company's event programs across EMEA. This is a hands-on individual contributor role where you'll own end-to-end execution of established event formats—from major third-party conferences and flagship first-party events to high-profile executive programs—while contributing to broader team initiatives.
You will manage all aspects of event logistics and project delivery, including vendor coordination, venue management, catering, swag, staff scheduling, and promotional assets. You'll develop and maintain event timelines, run-of-shows, and contingency plans across multiple concurrent markets. Your responsibilities include coordinating invitation strategy, registration, attendee communications, and internal promotion to ensure the right stakeholders attend.
You'll support EMEA strategic event mapping and calendar planning, prioritizing investments against pipeline and account-engagement goals. Working cross-functionally with Revenue Marketing, Sales, SDRs/BDRs, Customer Marketing, Product, Sales Engineering, and Partner/Alliance teams across regions and time zones, you'll ensure Sales enablement and alignment on event details and expectations.
Budget ownership is central to the role: you'll track budgets for owned and supported events, identify cost-effective alternatives, manage purchase orders and invoices, and update budget management tools. On-site, you'll lead event execution, train team members, direct temporary staff, and troubleshoot in real time. Post-event, you'll handle admin tasks, build repeatable regional playbooks, run retrospectives, and share lead status updates to ensure full ROI realization.
This role is ideal for someone seeking their next step up—a position where you'll play a lead role in flagship EMEA events while maintaining hands-on execution and learning continuously to optimize future programs.
**Requirements:**
- 2–4 years' experience in B2B events or experiential marketing, ideally in technology, SaaS, cybersecurity, or enterprise software
- Proven experience owning established, repeatable event formats end-to-end (not just coordinating logistics)
- Experience running executive-level programs (dinners, roundtables, advisory boards) and larger conference/trade show activations
- Multi-market EMEA experience with ability to work across different time zones and regions
- Strong program management habits: organized, deadline-driven, increasingly independent on routine work
- Budget, vendor, and contract management experience across multiple concurrent workstreams
- Confidence working cross-functionally with Sales, SDR/BDR, and Marketing stakeholders; ability to translate event activity into commercial outcomes
- Comfortable presenting event results and ROI using registration, pipeline, and engagement data
- Willingness to travel 40–50% (mainly EMEA, some APAC and AMER), including evening/weekend work around live events
**Preferred:**
- Experience with event and marketing technology (Asana, Allocadia, Coupa, Jifflenow, Cvent, Salesforce, Sigma, Splash, RainFocus, Claude, Google Suite)
- Additional European language
- Familiarity with account-based marketing (ABM) principles and target-account event strategies
