Salary: USD 126,500 - 203,550 / annual
Squarespace is a design-driven platform empowering entrepreneurs to build brands and businesses online. The company serves millions of customers across 200+ countries with tools for websites, domains, e-commerce, marketing, and scheduling. With over 1,700 employees headquartered in New York City and offices in Dublin and Aveiro, Squarespace is embedding AI across its platform to serve as an automated creative assistant.
The Corporate Development Manager supports Squarespace's inorganic growth strategy by identifying, evaluating, and executing acquisition and investment opportunities. This role partners across the organization to drive M&A and strategic investments, reporting to the Director of Strategy and Corporate Development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Analyze industries, businesses, and opportunities through strategic, financial, and feasibility frameworks
- Lead transaction execution, coordinating across product, marketing, finance, legal, people, and other functions
- Build financial models and apply valuation methodologies to acquisitions and strategic plans
- Develop insights on financial and strategic considerations for potential deals
- Work with leadership to develop strategy and assess new growth opportunities
- Drive administrative processes to build the corporate development team's capabilities
The position is based in New York City on a hybrid schedule (three days per week in office).
REQUIREMENTS:
- 6+ years of experience in investment banking, M&A, private equity, or corporate development
- Deep experience with technology companies and SaaS business models, including understanding of key SaaS KPIs (ARR, billings/bookings to revenue conversion, ARPU, LTV/CAC)
- Interest in and understanding of Artificial Intelligence and its applications for entrepreneurs and SMBs
- Strong financial modeling skills and ability to apply rigorous quantitative analysis
- Experience building executive-facing presentations that communicate complex financial analysis succinctly
- Ability to work as a trusted partner across teams in a fast-paced, ambiguous deal environment
- Strategic judgment, attention to detail, and team collaboration skills
