Salary: USD 150,500 - 188,100 / annual
Archer Technologies is an aerospace company building all-electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft designed to carry four passengers with minimal noise, advancing sustainable air mobility.
As Corporate Development Manager, you will drive Archer's M&A strategy and execution across the company's business lines. This is a high-ownership role with direct exposure to senior leadership, spanning the full transaction lifecycle from thesis development and target sourcing through diligence, valuation, execution, and integration handoff.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining the M&A target pipeline through sourcing and screening
- Conducting market research and strategic analysis across aerospace, defense, and aviation software sectors (TAM, competitive landscape, market mapping)
- Developing financial models and valuation analyses to support deal structuring and investment decisions
- Owning the transaction due diligence process: drafting diligence request lists, managing virtual data rooms, coordinating cross-functional workstreams, and synthesizing findings into deal implications
- Supporting transaction execution alongside external counsel and financial advisors, including term sheet and document review
- Leveraging AI tools to automate screening, diligence tracking, and research synthesis to increase deal volume and velocity
- Preparing executive-ready deliverables that translate complex analysis into clear recommendations
- Representing Archer at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to build relationships with targets, partners, and advisors
- Supporting integration planning and execution efforts
Required qualifications:
- 4-6 years in investment banking, corporate development, private equity, strategy consulting, or related fields with direct M&A or strategic transaction exposure
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills (three-statement modeling, scenario analysis, ability to build models from scratch with imperfect information)
- Demonstrated ability to run structured diligence processes (data room management, request list tracking, cross-functional coordination)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication; ability to distill complex commercial, technical, and financial concepts into crisp executive materials
- High ownership mentality and comfort operating in ambiguity with independent judgment to prioritize and drive workstreams
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, or related field
Bonus qualifications include aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, or hardware/deep-tech industry experience, and fluency with market intelligence tools (PitchBook, Capital IQ, AlphaSense).
