Fluidstack is building civilization-scale compute infrastructure for AI, acquiring power, designing and operating data centers at unprecedented speed and scale. The Corporate Accounting Lead will own the global monthly and quarterly close for a rapidly scaling organization, managing payroll, benefits, accounts payable, and operating expenses while partnering cross-functionally with FP&A, Revenue Ops, Financial Reporting, Tax, Treasury, and other teams. Key responsibilities include: operating the accounting stack across NetSuite, VisualLease, Zip, Navan, and Brex to maintain clean, audit-ready transaction data as volume scales; writing and defending accounting memos on complex, ambiguous transactions to reach defensible US GAAP conclusions that withstand external audit scrutiny; leading and mentoring the corporate accounting team and offshore shared services team to build scalable processes that keep pace with headcount and transaction growth; and building an automation and AI roadmap to reshape the close process while ensuring SOX compliance and internal controls readiness for external and internal audits. Ideal candidates have led or driven global monthly/quarterly closes at high-growth public or pre-IPO software/technology companies, compressed close timelines without sacrificing accuracy, and worked across Big 4 public accounting and in-house corporate accounting within a broader CAO organization. Experience writing accounting memos resolving judgment-heavy transactions, running closes under SOX and Big 4 audit requirements with full documentation and controls, and using AI or automation to eliminate manual accounting work is essential. Must manage both up (aligning executives on accounting positions) and down (mentoring teams including offshore shared services). Hands-on experience with NetSuite, VisualLease, Zip, Navan, or Brex, SEC reporting exposure at a public company, and a CPA license are required. The role demands full autonomy, insane urgency, first-principles thinking, and commitment to building something that matters at the frontier of AI infrastructure.
