As Parallel's first Controller, you will build and lead the accounting function from the ground up as the company scales. Your responsibilities include owning the complete accounting function: month-end close, financial statements, US GAAP compliance, revenue recognition (especially for usage-based models), international accounting decisions, audit readiness, tax and statutory compliance, and internal controls. You will build the accounting team, set the close process, design the chart of accounts, and establish core accounting policies. You will drive technical positions on usage-based revenue recognition, compute commitments, and cost treatment. You will select and implement core systems for accounting, finance, and revenue operations. You will partner with finance, revenue operations, legal, and other functions as they mature. The role requires balancing immediate operational needs with building systems and processes for future scale.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 8–10+ years of progressive accounting experience in high-growth tech
- CPA certification
- Big 4 accounting background
- Proven track record of standing up an accounting function and making strong hires
- Deep knowledge of US GAAP, especially usage-based revenue models
- Experience selecting and implementing accounting systems
- Experience automating manual work and leveraging AI tools
- Ability to balance attention to detail with focus on team building and process scale
- Understanding of which controls matter at different growth stages
- Enthusiasm for AI infrastructure and building world-class teams
