Lokal is a house of focused apps serving Tier-2/3+ India with local-language internet products across edutainment, jobs, matrimony, agri-consulting, and peer support. GyanTV is their edutainment and skill-learning platform delivering practical content in regional languages.
As a Content Specialist – QC, you will own quality assurance across content, language, creative, and visual dimensions for GyanTV's Telugu content. This is a quality-ownership role, not just issue-identification.
Key responsibilities include:
**Content & Language QC:** Review scripts and videos for language, grammar, factual accuracy, context, flow, and cultural relevance. Ensure content is natural, audience-friendly, and culturally appropriate. Identify recurring quality issues and improve QC processes and checklists.
**Creative & Visual QC:** Evaluate hooks, storytelling, pacing, editing, subtitles, graphics, thumbnails, and visual quality. QC both creator/live-shoot and AI-generated content. Identify issues in AI-generated visuals, voice, avatars, animation, lip-sync, and pronunciation. Assess content from a performance perspective, including attention and retention metrics.
**AI Content QC:** QC AI conversations and prompts for language, grammar, pronunciation, relevance, context, and conversational flow. Identify unnatural AI responses and support prompt improvements. Support Sahi English and GyanTV content/product QC.
**Performance & Team Support:** Use content performance data to identify quality gaps. Audit existing content and recommend improvements. Work cross-functionally with writers, editors, creators, and language teams to resolve quality issues. Maintain QC documentation and standardize quality across languages.
You will work from the Bangalore office.
**Requirements:**
- 2–5+ years of experience in content, editorial, production, digital media, or content QC
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline
- Native or near-native proficiency in Telugu; ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Strong understanding of short-form video, creator content, and digital storytelling
- Experience with live production and AI-generated content (preferred)
- Familiarity with AI tools, voice/video generation, and AI content workflows (preferred)
- Strong eye for visual, creative, language, and content quality
- Data-driven mindset with strong ownership and cross-functional coordination skills
