Lokal is a house of focused apps serving Tier-2/3+ India with local-language internet products across edutainment, jobs, matrimony, agri-consulting, social, wellness, and astrology. GyanTV is their edutainment and skill-learning platform delivering practical content in regional languages.
You will join as a Content Specialist focused on Quality Control, responsible for evaluating and improving content quality across multiple dimensions. This role bridges content production, creative excellence, and emerging AI-generated content workflows.
Key responsibilities include:
**Content & Language QC:** Review scripts and videos for language accuracy, grammar, factual correctness, cultural relevance, and flow. Ensure content feels natural and audience-appropriate. Identify recurring quality issues and improve QC processes and checklists.
**Creative & Visual QC:** Evaluate hooks, storytelling, pacing, editing, subtitles, graphics, thumbnails, and overall visual quality. QC both creator-produced and AI-generated content. Assess AI-generated visuals, voice, avatars, animation, lip-sync, and pronunciation. Evaluate content from a performance perspective, focusing on attention and retention metrics.
**AI Content QC:** Quality-check AI conversations and prompts for language, grammar, pronunciation, relevance, context, and conversational flow. Identify unnatural AI responses and support prompt improvements. Support Sahi English and GyanTV content/product QC.
**Performance & Team Support:** Use content performance data to identify quality gaps. Audit existing content and recommend improvements. Collaborate with writers, editors, creators, and language teams to resolve issues. Maintain QC documentation and standardize quality across languages. Own quality improvement end-to-end, not just issue identification.
**Requirements:**
- 2–5+ years of experience in content, editorial, production, digital media, or content QC
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline
- Native or near-native proficiency in Kannada; ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Strong understanding of short-form video, creator content, and digital storytelling
- Experience with live production and AI-generated content preferred
- Familiarity with AI tools, voice/video generation, and AI content workflows
- Strong eye for visual, creative, language, and content quality
- Data-driven mindset with strong ownership and cross-functional coordination skills
