Orbital is an AI platform for real estate legal work, trusted by 5,000+ professionals across Magic Circle and Am Law 100 firms. The company has raised $75M to date, including a recent $60M Series B led by Brighton Park Capital, and is built by former practicing real estate lawyers with 250+ years of combined legal expertise. In this role, you will own Orbital's editorial POV and content engine, creating opinionated, narrative-led, category-defining work rather than commodity content. You'll source material from expert input (lawyers, product team), customer insights, and market topics, then shape it into compelling content across multiple formats including POV pieces, guides, reports, interviews, and customer stories. Key responsibilities include: - Owning the full content lifecycle from conception through distribution - Sourcing and developing content across formats with a focus on narrative and category definition - Managing distribution across owned channels, social, earned media, and partnerships - Partnering with demand generation and product marketing to drive pipeline impact (leads, meetings, influence) - Setting and maintaining high quality standards across all content formats - Measuring engagement, reach, and contribution to net-new and influenced pipeline - Operating as a hands-on, high-ownership contributor in a lean, scaling team You'll be writing for magic-circle lawyers and in-house property teams, so credibility in a technical, expert-led category is essential. REQUIREMENTS: - Track record building a brand's editorial voice and POV as either: a senior B2B content marketer at a category-defining or technical/vertical company (ideally SaaS or AI), or a journalist/editor with strong commercial instinct and exposure to legal, proptech, real estate, or finance - Distribution-first mindset: you think about how content travels and converts as much as how it's written, with demonstrable links between your work and pipeline - Exceptional storytelling ability; can draw insight from experts and shape it into narrative that lands - Ability to get credible in a technical category quickly - Direct real estate and/or legal experience or education is a significant advantage; if not, you must demonstrate how you've ramped into complex, expert-led subjects before - Very high bar for quality, especially written content - Hands-on, high-ownership approach; ability to set priorities and operate well in a lean team - Comfortable co-creating with subject-matter experts and translating their depth into accessible, opinionated work - Genuine curiosity about customers and the category Nice to have: - Familiarity with SEO and emerging AI/answer-engine optimization - Experience defining editorial voice or POV from early stage
