F5 is seeking a Security Consultant based in Kuala Lumpur to support the deployment, integration, and lifecycle management of enterprise security solutions for Fortune 500 and Global 2000 companies. You will design, deploy, and integrate F5's application security, bot defense, and web application firewall solutions, acting as a trusted technical advisor to customers on security best practices and architecture optimization.
Key responsibilities include owning the delivery of technical components for integration (website analysis, configurations, testing, debugging, documentation, and go-live support), identifying technical risks and mitigation strategies, and collaborating with internal engineering, product, and support teams. You will provide post-deployment support and lifecycle management, support pre-sales and proof-of-concept engagements, and contribute to knowledge-sharing through documentation of best practices and customer success stories.
Required qualifications: 3+ years of experience in technical consulting, professional services, system integration, or cybersecurity. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field. Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, TLS), web application architectures, and security technologies including WAF, bot defense, API security, and application delivery controllers. Hands-on experience with multi-cloud networking, CDN technologies, data center networking, and application load balancing. Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work independently in complex environments, and strong customer-facing communication abilities.
