iCapital is seeking a Configuration Developer to implement and maintain business rules within FireLight®, Hexure's proprietary SaaS electronic fulfillment platform for financial services. This mid-level role bridges configuration and development, handling moderately complex business logic to ensure financial product applications are completed accurately, completely, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include configuring and maintaining business rules within FireLight® to drive accurate user experiences; implementing configuration components such as Role Codes, Review Queues, Needs Determination, and mapping documents; ensuring applications meet "In-Good-Order" standards; participating across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from requirements through deployment; performing unit and integration testing; supporting customer deployments; monitoring and resolving issues via Jira; providing Tier 2 production support for configuration-related problems; and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve defects and enhance platform performance.
The role actively leverages AI-enabled tools to improve speed, accuracy, and efficiency in rule creation, testing, and troubleshooting. You'll work independently with minimal supervision while contributing as part of a collaborative team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Required qualifications include 1–3 years of technical or configuration-focused experience; strong proficiency in XML (creation, editing, troubleshooting); solid understanding of SDLC in SaaS environments; familiarity with FireLight® platform components; working knowledge of Jira, OpenAir, Notepad++, and Adobe Acrobat; foundational understanding of financial services domain (insurance, annuities, life insurance, compliance); strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail; and effective communication abilities. Experience with third-party integrations (Salesforce, Redtail, Yellow Pages) is a plus. The ideal candidate is self-driven with a learning mindset and willingness to adopt new technologies including AI tools.
Workplace arrangement: four days in office, one day remote (Friday).
