Buzz Solutions is revolutionizing power grid analytics and maintenance through advanced AI and computer vision systems. We're seeking a Computer Vision & Machine Learning Engineer to advance our computer vision initiatives and build foundational model capabilities.
You'll bridge cutting-edge research and production systems—reading papers, adapting novel algorithms, and deploying reliable models for power grid analysis. Working within a team of experienced ML engineers, you'll have autonomy to drive your own projects while receiving support for continued growth.
Key responsibilities include:
Project Delivery:
- Own and deliver end-to-end computer vision projects focused on equipment defect detection, thermal anomaly identification, and vegetation encroachment monitoring
- Develop and optimize computer vision models for real-world power grid infrastructure analysis
- Translate research innovations into production-ready systems
Model Development & Research:
- Read and implement cutting-edge ML/CV research papers
- Adapt novel algorithms for domain-specific power grid applications
- Build and train foundational models for infrastructure analysis
- Experiment with state-of-the-art architectures and techniques
Collaboration & Impact:
- Work cross-functionally with domain experts and infrastructure specialists
- Contribute to the technical roadmap for computer vision capabilities
- Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge across the team
- Ensure models meet safety, reliability, and operational efficiency standards
