Salary: USD 160,000 - 220,000 / annual

Efficient is developing ultra-low-power general-purpose computer processors that use 100x less energy than state-of-the-art commercially available alternatives. The company's patented technology enables AI/ML to run continuously on AA batteries for 5-10 years, making perpetual, pervasive intelligence possible for IoT and edge computing applications. As a Computer Architect, you will play a critical role in designing and optimizing Efficient's Fabric architecture as the company transitions from initial product development to market release and scaled volume production. This is a ground-floor opportunity to shape the future of edge computing. Key responsibilities include: - Collaborate with Compiler and Digital Design teams to define the hardware-software interface for the Fabric architecture - Partner with Applications and Embedded teams to analyze performance and efficiency of key applications on Fabric and competing architectures - Build simulation infrastructure to model Fabric performance quickly and accurately - Develop visualization dashboards to continuously monitor Fabric architecture performance and efficiency - Design and execute experiments for design-space exploration and architecture optimization - Collect, analyze, and interpret data from design-space explorations - Author internal reports, white papers, and research publications on the Fabric architecture You will need a Master's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering plus 3+ years of industry experience (or a PhD), with extensive hands-on experience designing and implementing architectural/microarchitectural simulators. Strong coding skills in C++, Bash, and Python are essential, along with proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (numpy, matplotlib, Mathematica). Excellent technical communication abilities in both presentation and writing are required. A track record of research publications in computer architecture is preferred.
