OnePay is a consumer fintech platform backed by Walmart and Ribbit Capital, offering banking, high-yield savings, credit cards, point-of-sale lending, investing, and crypto services. The company is building an all-in-one financial services platform and embedded financial services for millions of employees and frontline workers. As a Compliance Testing Specialist, you will strengthen OnePay's Compliance Testing Program by translating regulatory requirements and control objectives into clear, risk-based testing procedures. You will independently assess control effectiveness, identify consumer-risk themes, and deliver evidence-based conclusions that enable the business to move quickly and responsibly. You will report to the Compliance Testing Lead and partner closely with Compliance Controls, Product, Operations, Risk, Legal, Data, Engineering, and Marketing teams. Your responsibilities include: - Planning and executing risk-based compliance testing across OnePay products, customer journeys, operational processes, marketing communications, servicing, complaints, and third-party activities - Developing clear testing objectives, populations, procedures, and evidence requirements aligned to regulatory requirements and control objectives - Assessing design and operating effectiveness of preventive and detective controls; identifying root causes and practical opportunities to strengthen or automate controls - Performing data-driven analysis by coordinating with stakeholders, validating source data, and evaluating population completeness and accuracy - Evaluating compliance with federal and state consumer-financial requirements including UDAAP, ECOA/Regulation B, EFTA/Regulation E, TILA/Regulation Z, FCRA/Regulation V, GLBA/Regulation P, FDCPA, Regulation DD, FINRA, SEC requirements, and relevant state laws - Drafting high-quality workpapers, findings, observations, and management reports that clearly describe requirements, conditions, risks, customer impact, root causes, and recommended corrective actions - Tracking remediation commitments, validating corrective-action closure, and communicating emerging risks and testing results to senior management - Contributing to annual Compliance Testing Plans and Compliance Risk Assessments by identifying regulatory changes, product changes, complaint trends, and audit results - Maintaining current knowledge of regulatory developments, enforcement trends, and industry practices - Using AI tools thoughtfully to improve testing speed and quality while maintaining appropriate human review and confidentiality controls - Building lightweight, scalable testing methods, documentation standards, dashboards, and automation The role is suited for a high-ownership operator comfortable working through ambiguity, building practical solutions, and raising the bar as OnePay scales. REQUIREMENTS: - Professional fluency in written and spoken English - Five to ten years of experience in compliance testing, compliance monitoring, audit, or consulting within consumer financial services, fintech, banking, or similarly regulated environments - Demonstrated experience executing regulatory or control reviews and translating regulatory requirements into practical, risk-based test procedures - Working knowledge of U.S. consumer-financial-services regulations and ability to research and apply federal and state requirements to products, processes, and customer communications - Strong analytical skills including experience assessing data quality, defining test populations, investigating exceptions, and drawing balanced, evidence-based conclusions - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to prepare concise, high-impact reports for senior management and collaborate effectively across functions - Exceptional organization, attention to detail, sound judgment, and ability to manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines - Hands-on fluency with AI tooling and genuine interest in using it responsibly to improve testing velocity, analysis quality, and knowledge sharing - Act-like-an-owner mentality, intellectual curiosity, and bias toward action; comfort with ambiguity and low ego - CRCM, CIA, CISA, CAMS, or comparable certification—or active progress toward one—is a plus
