Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume and registered users, is seeking a Compliance Analyst for its Bogotá office. This role is central to maintaining regulatory compliance and managing financial crime risk across Binance's operations in Colombia and supporting global compliance initiatives.
You will be responsible for maintaining compliance policies, procedures, and processes in alignment with the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO). You will monitor and document unusual activity and AML flags, conduct risk assessments, periodic reviews, and enhanced due diligence procedures.
The role requires expertise in reviewing complex compliance escalations while considering customer profiles, transaction activity, jurisdictional context, and applicable global policies. You will apply global compliance standards consistently while appropriately considering jurisdiction-specific regulatory requirements and operational nuances. You will coordinate effectively with local and global compliance teams, FCMI, Risk, Legal, Operations, Product, and other stakeholders to ensure escalation decisions align with policies, risk appetite, and established OKIs.
Additionally, you will identify recurring risk patterns, policy gaps, process inconsistencies, and emerging typologies, escalating them to appropriate stakeholders. You will support the development and refinement of escalation frameworks and controls, promote consistent decision-making across jurisdictions, and provide clear compliance guidance to facilitate timely, risk-based decision-making. Training and supervising teams in alignment with MLRO requirements is also part of this position.
