Kraken Pro is seeking a Community Lead to build and grow the community around its professional trading platform. You'll operate across Discord, Telegram, X, TradingView, Reddit, and other channels where serious traders congregate—not as a brand account, but as a credible participant with genuine standing in the community.
Your responsibilities include:
- Active participation in community channels, providing real-time updates and insights during market events, chain halts, listings, and volatility. You'll be known for speed and accuracy, not hype.
- Building and scaling an ambassador and power-user program focused on market makers, quant desks, and high-volume traders who provide honest product feedback.
- Owning public-facing events and formats: AMAs, live trading sessions, feature launches, competitions, and post-mortems. You set the tone and drive engagement.
- Serving as the bridge between community and product. You'll surface issues with receipts, escalate to PMs, and report back to the community on resolutions.
- Creating high-quality written content that resonates with sophisticated traders: threads on microstructure, feature teardowns, and release notes that read like insights, not corporate copy.
- Measuring impact through sentiment analysis, share of voice, community-sourced signups, and retention of high-value accounts. You bring data to every conversation.
Kraken is part of Payward, a 15-year-old financial infrastructure company serving over 10 million individuals and institutions globally. The platform offers spot trading, margin, futures, staking, and OTC services for both retail and institutional clients.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Active trader with real positions and market experience. You must understand funding rates, maker/taker economics, slippage, latency, and other microstructure concepts without needing to look them up.
- 3+ years of community or social media management for a technical, skeptical audience. Experience in crypto, fintech, gaming, or developer tools is valued.
- Strong writing ability across both short-form (tweets, posts) and long-form (threads, analysis) that withstands scrutiny from knowledgeable audiences.
- Resilience and good judgment. Crypto community management involves public criticism; you de-escalate professionally without corporate-speak and know when to push back.
- Track record of building community from the ground up, not just maintaining existing accounts.
- Ability to operate independently and make judgment calls in real time without approval chains, while understanding where boundaries lie.
- Comfort with ambiguity in a fast-shipping, frequently reorganizing company.
