Opine is seeking a Community & Events Coordinator to own the full event strategy and execution for the company. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will manage all events Opine attends, sponsors, or hosts—from flagship conferences like Pavilion's GTM2026 and Demofest to intimate executive dinners, virtual sessions, and customer roundtables. Key responsibilities include: - Own the complete event calendar end-to-end: conferences, sponsorships, field events, executive dinners, roundtables, and virtual sessions. Manage dates, owners, budgets, and deadlines. - Execute event logistics: venues, catering, AV, shipping, swag, booth builds, travel, and lodging for the team. - Manage sponsorship contracts as formal commitments, tracking deliverables (passes, speaking slots, logo placement, attendee lists) and ensuring fulfillment. - Own financial management: vendor contracts, invoices, budgets, and committed vs. actual spend tracking for every event. - Build targeted guest lists with sales, manage invitations and RSVPs, and ensure the right attendees are in the room. - Prepare the team for events with attendee lists, meeting targets, run-of-show details, and talking points. - Close the loop quickly: ensure leads and conversation notes land in HubSpot within two business days, enabling sales to follow up effectively. - Build community between events through dinners, meetups, customer roundtables, and relationship-building activities. - Report on event performance: spend, show rate, ICP conversations, pipeline influenced. Make data-backed decisions on which events to attend next year. In your first six months, you will establish clear ownership and budgets for every event, implement a repeatable executive dinner playbook deployable in any city on three weeks' notice, ensure 100% lead capture in HubSpot, and provide analysis to guide next year's event strategy. Opine is an agentic deal engineer for complex sales, helping teams at companies like Gainsight, Tailscale, Orca Security, and Docker run deals that move their number. The company is a small, founder-led team in Durham with a big vision and zero corporate fluff. Travel: Roughly 25–35% or more during peak event season. Local to the Triangle or willing to relocate. REQUIREMENTS: - 2+ years in event coordination, field marketing, or community, ideally at a B2B SaaS startup (4+ years preferred) - Demonstrated experience running both large conference sponsorships and intimate dinners - Relentless organizational skills; nothing slips through the cracks - Ability to negotiate with venues and vendors effectively - Comfort with spreadsheets, budgets, and CRM platforms - Clear and quick writing skills (invites, briefing docs, follow-up emails, Slack updates) - Willingness to travel and work occasional late nights BONUS: - Experience building community from scratch (online or in-person) - Familiarity with the GTM event circuit (Pavilion, SaaStr, Consensus, etc.) - International event experience and knowledge of time zones, VAT, and GDPR - Proficiency with AI tools to increase efficiency - Experience with CRM platforms like HubSpot and Salesforce
