Boulder Care, an award-winning digital clinic for addiction medicine, is seeking a Community Engagement Liaison based in the Washington region (Olympia, Tacoma, Edmonds, Port Angeles, Bellingham, or Vancouver area). This is a hybrid field-based role requiring up to four days per week of regional travel for partner meetings, outreach visits, and community events, with the remainder of the work week spent in a home-based remote office for administrative work.
You will serve as the trusted face of Boulder Care's mission in your community, acting as a boots-on-the-ground relationship owner. Your primary responsibilities include identifying and developing new referral partnerships with healthcare providers, community organizations, reentry systems, and local stakeholders; building and scaling existing partnerships to ensure long-term alignment with Boulder's clinical mission and harm-reduction philosophy; and expanding regional networks that connect more people to compassionate addiction medicine care.
You will leverage CRM tools (Salesforce) and enrollment/referral data to manage partner relationships, track conversion rates from referral to patient, and analyze which partner types yield the highest impact. You'll spend most of your time in the field building relationships, identifying local barriers to care, and educating partners about Boulder Care's services. You will also collect feedback from community partners to refine referral strategies and collaborate across marketing, commercial, clinical, product, and operations teams to develop and execute 6–12-month regional outreach plans.
This role offers significant autonomy to shape outreach strategies, prioritize efforts, and independently manage your territory while contributing to broader growth goals. You will work full-time (40 hours per week), typically Monday through Friday during standard business hours, with flexibility for evening or weekend events as needed.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in community outreach, business development, sales, or referral management within healthcare, hospital systems, or behavioral health settings
- Proven track record of building and growing referral relationships and driving patient or partner growth through sustained engagement
- Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM tools and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail)
- Ability to travel locally with reliable transportation and valid driver's license, approximately 4 days per week
- Self-starter with ability to take initiative and work autonomously while managing multiple priorities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including strong public speaking abilities, with demonstrated empathy and patient-first/client-first mindset
- Passionate about serving marginalized and vulnerable populations
- Proven ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality when working with sensitive information
Preferred (not required):
- Experience within the substance use disorder (SUD) treatment community with existing relationships
- Experience working with clinical staff, healthcare administration, and people with opioid use disorders
