Fluidstack is building civilization-scale AI compute infrastructure at unprecedented speed and scale. The company is rethinking every layer of the stack—from power acquisition through data center design, build, and operations—to deploy 10-100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else.
The Supply Chain team owns the critical mission of making supply chain a competitive advantage. You will lead commodity sourcing strategy and execution for direct materials (metals, plastics, electronic components, sub-assemblies, MRO) across a multi-year, gigawatt-scale buildout—the largest compute infrastructure deployment in history.
Key responsibilities:
- Own multi-year commodity strategies for direct material categories, building should-cost models that withstand supplier negotiation and pushback.
- Lead RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes and e-auction bidding events across global supply markets, qualifying suppliers on capacity, financial health, and risk through structured assessments and site audits.
- Negotiate and execute Master Supply Agreements, Long-Term Agreements, and pricing amendments, coordinating with Legal and Finance on annual price reviews and cost-down commitments.
- Run Quarterly Business Reviews and supplier scorecards tracking quality (PPM), delivery (OTD), cost, and responsiveness; build dual-source and geographic diversification plans to eliminate single-source risk.
- Deliver annual cost reduction targets through value engineering, demand aggregation, and supplier consolidation, partnering with Engineering on design-for-cost decisions ahead of new product introductions.
The role operates with full autonomy and end-to-end ownership. You will work in an environment defined by insane urgency, first-principles reasoning, and a singular focus on building infrastructure that matters at civilization scale.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven track record building and owning multi-year commodity strategies for direct material categories, backed by should-cost models that survive supplier pushback.
- Experience negotiating complex, multi-year supply agreements and pricing amendments across global markets (Asia-Pacific, Europe, North America).
- Demonstrated ability to run RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes and e-auction bidding events end-to-end, from supplier qualification through contract signature.
- Proficiency tracking supplier performance with scorecards spanning quality (PPM), delivery (OTD), and cost; experience using commodity indices (LME, CBOT) and hedging mechanisms to anticipate pricing swings.
- Documented delivery of measurable annual cost reductions through value engineering, demand aggregation, or supplier consolidation, with quantified results.
- Working knowledge of ERP and procurement platforms (SAP, Oracle, Ariba, Coupa, Jaggaer, or equivalent) sufficient to run sourcing events and spend analytics independently.
- Bonus: CPSM, CSCP, or CPP certification; familiarity with quality systems (PPAP, APQP, IATF 16949, ISO 9001) for supplier qualification; direct materials sourcing experience in hardware or hyperscale infrastructure environments.
