Crusoe is a vertically integrated AI infrastructure company building the next generation of data centers to power AI workloads. As a Commissioning Engineer II, you will play a hands-on role in executing commissioning activities across data center projects, supporting the transition from construction through operational readiness. You will work in the field executing test procedures including pre-functional checklists, functional performance tests, and integrated systems tests across mechanical, electrical, and controls disciplines. Key responsibilities include documenting test results and deficiencies, coordinating with trade contractors to schedule commissioning activities, and verifying installation conditions against approved drawings and specifications. You will assist in developing commissioning test scripts and MOPs, track open deficiencies through resolution, and maintain accurate commissioning logs and turnover documentation. This role requires supporting startup activities, factory witness testing, and integrated systems testing for critical MEP and BMS/EPMS infrastructure. You will communicate daily progress, issues, and risks to the lead commissioning engineer or manager, and adhere to all site safety protocols. You bring 2+ years of experience in data center commissioning, building systems, or critical infrastructure construction, with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent field experience). You have working knowledge of data center systems including power distribution and cooling infrastructure, familiarity with commissioning levels L1-L5, and the ability to read construction drawings and equipment submittals. Strong documentation habits, attention to detail, and effective cross-trade communication are essential. You are willing to travel 75% of the time to project sites.
