Checkout.com is a global fintech platform powering over 10 billion transactions yearly for more than one billion shoppers. Clients include eBay, Spotify, Klarna, Uber, and Sony. The company operates 20 offices across six continents with London as headquarters. You will join the NORAM Account Management team in New York as a Manager responsible for leading strategic relationships with enterprise merchants. You will serve as a trusted business advisor and senior point of contact for a portfolio of key accounts, owning account strategy, building executive-level relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and coordinating internal teams to deliver exceptional merchant experiences. Key responsibilities include: - Own and execute account development plans for a portfolio of strategic NORAM merchants - Build high-touch, consultative relationships with merchant stakeholders from operators through executive leadership - Serve as the primary commercial and relationship lead during post-integration, ensuring clear ownership and communication - Develop deep understanding of each merchant's business model, payment performance, priorities, and growth plans - Identify and advance opportunities across payment volumes, product adoption, geographic expansion, and commercial growth - Lead commercial conversations and negotiations with Sales, Finance, Legal, Product, and other teams - Translate merchant needs into internal priorities and influence product roadmaps and service improvements - Project-manage complex merchant initiatives including cross-border expansion, new payment methods, and optimization programs - Use data and customer insights to diagnose performance and make compelling recommendations - Provide regular account updates, risk visibility, and forward-looking plans to leadership - Share market feedback and best practices to improve enterprise merchant service across the region This role requires a commercially minded leader who can operate with strategic perspective while staying close to execution, bringing structure to complex work and influencing stakeholders across the organization. REQUIREMENTS: - 6+ years of experience in B2B Account Management, Relationship Management, Customer Success, Strategic Partnerships, or related commercial role, ideally in payments, fintech, technology, banking, or consulting - Experience managing complex enterprise accounts and building trusted relationships with senior and executive stakeholders - Strong commercial judgment, including experience identifying growth opportunities and leading or supporting negotiations - Strategic, analytical, and data-driven approach to account planning and decision-making - Excellent project management skills with ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and maintain momentum in fast-paced environment - Strong understanding of digital commerce, payments, fintech, and competitive dynamics shaping the NORAM market - Clear and compelling communication skills with ability to influence internally and externally at all levels - Customer-first judgment and ability to balance merchant outcomes, commercial performance, and operational realities - High ownership, organization, and follow-through, especially when priorities shift or information is incomplete - Intellectual curiosity and ability to learn complex products and apply new technologies, including AI, to improve account performance
