Empathy is a venture-backed healthtech company transforming how families navigate major life transitions, from bereavement to other critical moments. The company combines technology with compassionate human care, partnering with employers, insurers, and financial institutions to deliver support at scale. Empathy currently serves over 50 million people across the US, Canada, and the UK, and has raised $160M+ from top-tier investors including General Catalyst and Index Ventures. The Commercial Operations team serves as the connective tissue driving Empathy's commercial growth. In this Senior Associate role, you will own two primary focus areas: **1. Proving Empathy's Value** You'll be the engine behind demonstrating Empathy's impact to prospects and clients. This includes owning the business value roadmap, tracking key metrics, and driving high-impact opportunities to execution. You'll partner closely with Sales and Client Success to understand what resonates with customers and what drives renewals, feeding insights back to sharpen the value narrative. You'll collaborate with Product to design and run experiments validating which features move the needle for clients. You'll coordinate cross-functional forums and workshops, serving as the central point of contact for ideas, escalations, and progress. You'll also build repeatable infrastructure—frameworks, best practices, and ROI assets—that raise the bar across the organization. **2. Plugging Into Business Priorities** Working alongside the COO and Principal of Commercial Operations, you'll drive priorities that move the business, from company strategy and product launches to support strategies and ad hoc challenges. You'll own how the team sets and tracks goals, building reporting that keeps leadership clear on progress. You'll champion an experimentation mindset, proactively identifying opportunities to unlock value and efficiency, validating quickly with available data and creative approaches. You'll bring the team together through hackathons and cross-functional moments, and help scale AI adoption across divisions. This is a high-ownership role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, breaks complex challenges into component parts, and drives them to completion. You'll need strong project and stakeholder management skills, an entrepreneurial mindset, and genuine excitement about experimentation and data-driven decision-making.
