Salary: USD 91,500 - 183,000 / annual
Sourcegraph is building the infrastructure layer that gives engineering organizations full visibility across their codebases and enables AI agents to operate with confidence. The company's platform—including Code Search, Deep Search, MCP, and Agentic Batch Changes—helps teams like Stripe, Reddit, and Leidos ship faster and with higher quality by providing cross-repo context and the ability to make coordinated changes at scale.
As a Commercial Account Executive, you will own the full sales cycle for new business in your territory, targeting enterprise engineering organizations. You will be responsible for building pipeline, identifying champions and decision-makers, developing compelling value propositions aligned to customer objectives, and closing technically complex deals. You'll work closely with Customer Engineering, Product, Legal, and Engineering teams to navigate multi-stakeholder sales processes and deliver customer feedback that influences product strategy.
In your first month, you'll complete onboarding, set OKRs with your manager, begin prospecting, and build relationships across internal teams. By three months, you'll be executing a disciplined sales process, mastering Sourcegraph's value framework, and hitting activity and pipeline goals. By six months, you'll own the full cycle and consistently meet revenue objectives. By year one, you'll be a top performer on the team and helping train new Account Executives.
This is an IC2-level role with significant upside and growth potential. You'll have a defined territory, quota, and the autonomy to drive new business. The company operates as a globally distributed, high-agency team backed by a16z, Sequoia, and Redpoint.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of B2B SaaS or software sales experience
- Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas while leading with empathy
- Experience selling complex products with ACV ≥ $30k
- Stellar interpersonal, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills across all levels and personas
- Enthusiasm for the mission and developer-focused products
NICE TO HAVES:
- Experience selling developer or engineering-focused products
- Familiarity with software development concepts, CI/CD, version control, or DevOps tooling
- Experience managing complex multi-year contracts
- Knowledge of security, licensing, and compliance requirements
