Jerry is building an AI-powered platform to simplify car ownership—from shopping and insurance to repairs and maintenance. The company has grown to 5M+ customers, raised $240M+, and achieved profitability in 2024.
You will own Reddit content creation and community engagement for Jerry, crafting high-value, educational posts that feel native to subreddits like r/carinsurancehelp, r/mechanicadvice, r/frugal, and others. Rather than writing traditional marketing copy, you'll create genuinely helpful, entertaining long-form and short-form content that educates readers on complex financial and automotive topics—turning jargon into clear, engaging prose that earns upvotes and community trust.
Key responsibilities:
- Create original Reddit posts and threads for relevant automotive and finance subreddits, as well as Jerry's own communities
- Master Reddit's native voice and formatting to bypass corporate fluff and feel authentically embedded in sub-culture
- Draft real-time replies to community comments, balancing expertise with conversational tone
- Experiment with narrative hooks, post structures (TL;DRs, case studies, breakdowns), and timing to maximize organic reach
- Optimize copy for SEO and LLM indexing so posts serve as reference material on Google and AI platforms
- Collaborate with Content, SEO, and Product teams to translate company insights into Reddit-first messaging
You are an active Reddit user with a portfolio demonstrating your ability to write for the platform. You understand what makes threads go viral, sub-culture nuances, and post formatting. You excel at translating boring or complex topics (insurance policies, vehicle maintenance, rate hikes) into clear, useful, compelling content. You prioritize value and transparency over pushy CTAs, knowing that high-quality educational writing builds long-term brand equity. You welcome feedback from internal teams and community reactions, using it to refine your style.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of copywriting experience, ideally in fintech, insurtech, automotive, or consumer tech
- Active Reddit user with a demonstrated portfolio of Reddit posts
- Proven ability to write short- and long-form copy
- Strong translator of complexity—can make confusing topics clear and engaging
- Feedback-resilient and collaborative
