Laborup is seeking an experienced Application Developer to design, develop, enhance, and support business applications in a manufacturing and engineering environment. This is a hands-on role requiring ownership of applications throughout the full development lifecycle—from gathering business requirements and designing solutions through development, testing, deployment, and production support. You will work with C#/.NET and SQL Server to build and maintain business-critical applications. Key responsibilities include designing and developing applications using C#/.NET technologies, particularly ASP.NET MVC and .NET Core; working extensively with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL for database design and optimization; supporting applications in IIS environments; and developing new functionality while resolving bugs in existing systems. You'll refactor and modernize legacy applications to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability. In the software delivery and production support domain, you will own assigned work from requirements through post-release support, troubleshoot production issues using logs and diagnostic tools, perform root cause analysis, and participate in releases and deployment activities. You'll maintain testing documentation, release notes, and rollback procedures. Development practices are central to the role: you'll work with Git-based source control and modern workflows, participate in code reviews, develop unit and integration tests, contribute to CI/CD and deployment automation, and apply secure coding practices around authentication, authorization, and input validation. You'll also support application modernization initiatives, assist with API integrations and service-based architectures, participate in technical design discussions, and evaluate development approaches based on scalability, performance, and security. Required qualifications: Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of experience, or bachelor's degree with 2–4 years of experience. Strong professional experience with C# and .NET, ASP.NET MVC and/or .NET Core, Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL, IIS, Git/source control, unit and integration testing, and production application support. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to translate business needs into software solutions. Experience in manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or distribution environments is preferred. Exposure to APIs, system integrations, legacy modernization, CI/CD, or DevOps is a plus.
