Scalable Capital is a leading digital investment and banking platform with over one million clients and €50 billion in assets under management. The Network Engineering team is part of the Core Tribe, which manages the cloud platform underpinning Scalable's entire infrastructure. In this role, you will design, maintain, and operate multiple cloud networks on AWS, providing a secure and highly available environment for internal development teams. You will be responsible for improving Scalable's cloud infrastructure and automation using AWS, Terraform, and Python. Key responsibilities include ensuring high-availability connectivity for critical applications and partner integrations, and supporting and empowering engineering teams to strengthen the DevOps culture. The company was built in the cloud from day one, leveraging serverless technologies including Fargate and Lambda, with a multi-account strategy for logical separation of workloads. You will work with an international, diverse team across multiple European offices (Munich, Berlin, Vienna, Milan, London) in the fintech sector, creating innovative financial services. The role offers flexible work arrangements with the option to work from abroad, relocation support if required, and is based in either Berlin or Munich in centrally located offices. REQUIREMENTS: - Experience with core AWS networking services (VPC, ELB, PrivateLink, Route 53) is mandatory - Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform - Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language - A degree in a relevant field (computer science, engineering, sciences) or equivalent work experience - Ability to communicate effectively and concisely in English in an international environment - Nice to have: broader AWS services experience, network management, and network troubleshooting skills - Passion for automating and improving processes while maintaining security and reliability
