Scalable Capital, a leading European fintech platform with over €50 billion in assets under management and 700+ employees, is seeking a Cloud Site Reliability Engineer to join the Network Engineering team within the Core Tribe. This team is responsible for designing, maintaining, and operating the cloud platform infrastructure that underpins Scalable's entire financial services ecosystem.
In this role, you will design, maintain, and operate multiple cloud networks on AWS, providing a secure and highly available environment for internal development teams. You will improve Scalable's cloud infrastructure and automation using AWS, Terraform, and Python. You will ensure high-availability connectivity for critical applications and partner integrations, and support and guide engineering teams to strengthen the DevOps culture.
The role is based in Berlin or Munich, with a centrally located office in the heart of each city. Scalable Capital was built in the cloud from day one, leveraging serverless technologies including Fargate and Lambda, with a multi-account strategy for logical separation of workloads. The Network Engineering team delivers all core network services at scale using cloud-native technologies and maintains highly available connections to external partners. You will also design and maintain reusable infrastructure components and provide support to development teams.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with core AWS networking services (VPC, ELB, PrivateLink, Route 53) is mandatory
- Proficient with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform
- Proficient in at least one general-purpose programming language
- Degree in a relevant field (computer science, engineering, sciences) or equivalent work experience requiring a university degree
- Ability to communicate effectively and concisely in English in an international environment
- Nice to have: broader AWS services experience, network management, and network troubleshooting
- Passion for automating and improving processes while maintaining security and reliability
