GoodData.AI is seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join its Cloud Infrastructure team. The role focuses on designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud and on-premise infrastructure for the company's AI-first analytical platform.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and maintain tooling and infrastructure for deployment, scaling, and monitoring across AWS, Azure, GCP, and on-premise environments
- Manage cloud-based and on-premise infrastructure including virtual machines, OpenStack, Kubernetes clusters, and bare-metal servers
- Use AI agents daily as part of standard workflow—from writing and reviewing infrastructure code to automating operational tasks
- Participate in planning, execution, and review of platform improvements and new deployments
- Drive technical decisions in automation, availability, and observability
- Ensure integration with logging, alerting, and security systems
- Meet SLA and availability targets
- Support knowledge sharing within the team
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation (approximately 1 week per month)
Required qualifications:
- 4+ years of hands-on infrastructure, operations, or SRE experience
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud services
- Experience managing VMs (KVM, VMware, OpenStack), Kubernetes clusters, and bare-metal servers
- Proficiency in shell scripting and at least one scripting language (Python preferred)
- Working knowledge of networking, TCP/IP, and common protocols
- Understanding of configuration management and infrastructure-as-code principles
- Genuine interest in AI-assisted engineering and willingness to integrate AI agents into daily workflow
- Strong English communication skills
Nice-to-have skills include experience with Docker, Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, Git, hands-on agentic AI tooling (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor), security-conscious environments, and agile/cross-functional team experience.
