Anduril Industries is seeking a Cloud Deployment Engineer to support its Space team's mission of expanding AI-powered capabilities for U.S. military and allied partners. The Space Domain Awareness Network (SDANet) is a key program deploying integrated hardware and software systems globally, and this role is critical to standing up Lattice stacks on AWS and Azure government cloud infrastructure.
You will own the research, planning, and execution of deployment strategies into classified government cloud environments. Key responsibilities include designing cloud networking and engineering solutions that balance security, cost, and performance requirements; deploying Anduril software across government infrastructure and promoting it through various stages; and identifying, triaging, and resolving Kubernetes issues in production environments. You will partner with government platform management teams to address infrastructure challenges and develop mitigation strategies.
Additional duties include designing and implementing observability, alerting, and maintenance frameworks to ensure operational excellence; delivering and maintaining accreditation artifacts and compliance standards; standing up representative unclassified environments for testing and development; and providing direct in-person expertise during mission-critical periods. You will ensure deployed systems meet security and compliance requirements through regular updates and host OS patching.
Required: 5+ years in DevOps or SRE roles; strong proficiency in AWS, Azure, or GCP; hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Puppet, Ansible); deep expertise with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm; solid understanding of networking, TCP/IP, and security best practices; programming ability in Python, Go, Bash, or Rust; and the ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Top Secret security clearance (currently must hold Secret clearance).
Preferred: extensive Kubernetes expertise; DoD 8570 IAT Level 1 or 2 certification; CCNA; government cyber certification experience; experience with DoD or sensitive customer data systems; familiarity with DoD network enclaves (NIPR, SIPR); and military service background, particularly with Space experience.
