Salary: USD 150,000 - 200,000 / annual
Suki is seeking a Cloud and AI Security Engineer to serve as the primary technical architect and hands-on leader securing enterprise cloud infrastructure, network boundaries, and AI/ML product capabilities in a high-growth healthcare SaaS environment. You will work with 100+ engineering and data science team members to build secure, scalable systems handling Protected Health Information (PHI) while bridging traditional cloud/network security with emerging AI risk management.
Key responsibilities include: managing large security projects and ensuring HIPAA/HITRUST compliance; developing robust code for security tooling, automation, and critical integrations; conducting security assessments and red-teaming on proprietary and third-party AI/ML models and LLMs; implementing guardrails to prevent PHI exposure in model training, vector databases, RAG architectures, and fine-tuning datasets; owning technical security architecture across multi-cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure) with zero-trust principles; securing Kubernetes clusters, container registries, and Infrastructure-as-Code within CI/CD pipelines; designing and enforcing least-privilege IAM policies and secrets management; implementing microsegmentation, VPC architecture, and network isolation for multi-tenant health data; managing network security controls including IDS/IPS and WAF to prevent unauthorized data exfiltration.
Required qualifications: 7+ years in Information Security with 1+ years evaluating and remediating AI risk; hands-on experience securing AWS, GCP, or Azure environments using automated tools and native security services; strong coding skills for developing secure tooling and automation; deep understanding of healthcare compliance standards (HIPAA/HITECH, HITRUST CSF, NIST, NIST AI RMF); demonstrated leadership ability managing security projects and mentoring junior team members; excellent communication and collaboration skills.
