Handspring Health is a virtual mental health clinic for children, teens, and young adults, working to make high-quality behavioral healthcare accessible to all young people and their families.
You will own the provider onboarding experience at Handspring, serving as the first point of contact for newly hired clinical providers. Your primary responsibilities include welcoming new providers, orienting them to clinical systems and workflows (EHR, scheduling, provider portal), coordinating onboarding logistics (system access, account setup, documentation), and tracking progress through onboarding while proactively resolving blockers.
As the organization scales rapidly, you will own and continuously improve the provider onboarding process. This includes identifying bottlenecks and gaps, developing and pitching solutions (new workflows, automation, self-serve resources, cohort-based training), and collaborating with Clinical Operations, Clinical Services, and Product teams to implement improvements. You will define and track onboarding metrics such as time to first session, training completion, and provider satisfaction.
You will create and maintain training materials, guides, and process documentation for new providers, collecting feedback from providers and clinical leaders to refine the experience. You'll also provide direct support to providers and patients/families when clinical system challenges arise, and contribute to broader clinical operations projects.
The role requires comfort with systems like EHRs, provider portals, scheduling tools, CRM platforms, Zoom, Slack, Notion, and Google Workspace. You will oversee a Credentialing Specialist to keep provider credentialing on schedule. This is a full-time remote position requiring availability 10am–6pm Pacific Time.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of experience in clinical operations, ideally at an early-stage digital health company
- Demonstrated experience owning a process end-to-end and improving it, ideally during rapid growth
- Strong communication skills; ability to make complex systems approachable and pitch ideas across technical, clinical, and operational teams
- Resourceful, organized systems thinker who identifies breakdowns, determines root causes, and designs scalable solutions
- Comfortable navigating EHRs, provider portals, scheduling tools, CRM platforms, Zoom, Slack, Notion, and Google Workspace
- Mission-driven mindset aligned with accessible healthcare for young people
- Must be based in the United States with U.S. work authorization
