You will serve as Clinical Implementation Manager supporting the Program Director, Surgical Services in scaling onsite clinical operations for Surgical Technology and Sterile Processing programs. You'll be the on-the-ground point of contact for client-side clinical coordinators, preceptors, and students, handling site activation, clinical coordination, student support, and day-to-day client communication. Success means students completing clinical rotations on time and building strong, trusting relationships with site- and hospital-level stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
**Onsite Travel & Site Activation:** Travel to clinical sites to lead pre-launch preparation ahead of skills lab starts, confirming logistics, materials, and site readiness. Identify and onboard client-side clinical coordinators, lock in preceptor onboarding dates, and confirm materials shipment. Increase travel cadence as cohorts move into clinical rotations, responding to ad hoc site needs.
**Student Support:** Build trusting relationships with students throughout clinical rotations as a consistent point of contact. Support students through clinical remediation when practice-readiness or professionalism concerns arise. Track cohort progress against clinical timelines, flagging at-risk students early and looping in the Program Director and internal teams.
**Clinical Coordination:** Serve as primary point of contact for client-side clinical coordinators and preceptors across assigned sites. Onboard preceptors through in-person or virtual sessions. Chase preceptor evaluations to completion with individual follow-ups. Own recurring biweekly check-in cadence with on-site coordinators.
**Client Communication:** Present independently to client-side clinical coordinators, preceptors, and hospital staff, building credibility and trust quickly. Support hospital-level OR/division director relationships on multi-site accounts alongside the Program Director. Exercise judgment on what to resolve directly versus escalate. Partner closely with Program Director and Customer Success teams to avoid duplicated outreach.
This role requires regular travel to clinical sites—50%+ of your time overall, with heavier travel during the clinical scrubs phase of each cohort.
**Requirements:**
- Clinical fluency: must meet one of the following—active NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NCCT TS-C certification; nurse/OR professional with extensive hands-on operating room experience; or associate's/nursing degree with first-assist experience
- Stakeholder communication: comfortable presenting independently to clinical coordinators, preceptors, and client-side hospital staff, building credibility without a long ramp-up
- Process and operational management: experience tracking cohort or program progress, flagging at-risk students or sites early, and managing logistics of in-person programs (skills lab setup, materials, scheduling)
- Willingness to travel to clinical sites regularly—50%+ of the time, with heavier travel during clinical scrubs phase
- Comfort operating with real autonomy in a fast-growing organization, building process from an unfinished playbook
**Bonus qualifications:**
- Experience in EdTech or online/hybrid healthcare training environments
- Background in healthcare training, apprenticeship, or externship placement
- Dual certification across surgical technology and sterile processing
