Celonis, a global leader in Process Intelligence and Process Mining technology, seeks an established consulting executive to lead high-stakes Energy & Utilities engagements. This is an executive-level role targeting current Big Four Directors, Managing Directors, or Partner-track Senior Managers.
You will serve as the principal strategic architect for Celonis's most valuable power, gas, and renewable energy accounts globally, bridging macro energy sector strategies with modern cloud and AI execution models.
Key responsibilities include:
C-Suite Advisory & Value Architecture: Partner directly with utility C-suite executives (CEOs, COOs, CFOs, Chief Sustainability Officers) to align decarbonization, grid modernization, and capital reallocation pressures with execution-level transformation roadmaps. Oversee deployment of the Celonis Process Intelligence Graph to build end-to-end operational models of complex utility enterprises. Direct formulation of board-ready Celonis Value Assessments delivering economic justification and OPEX returns for major cloud and AI investments.
Transformation Leadership & Ecosystem Governance: Serve as executive sponsor for high-visibility, Celonis-driven operating model overhauls for Fortune 500 Energy & Utilities clients. Design and establish corporate-wide Centers of Excellence, defining target operating models, governance structures, and enablement frameworks. Lead cross-functional teams resolving complex operational leakages where siloed utility systems (SAP S/4HANA, IBM Maximo, ADMS/SCADA) collide, optimizing capital procurement, field services, and energy settlement invoicing.
Commercial Growth & Scaled Innovation: Convert complex regulatory mandates (FERC, NERC) into automated, visual compliance audits within Celonis, accelerating C-suite sign-off. Direct integration of industrial telemetry (SCADA, Edge IoT) into Celonis, translating data structures into high-margin offerings like real-time storm response and predictive asset failure. Codify repeatable client successes into scalable Celonis apps and action templates, establishing industry-specific intellectual property that drives ARR and account expansion.
Required qualifications: 12+ years progressive experience within Big Four or elite management consulting, currently at Director, Managing Director, or Partner level. Deep expertise in Energy & Utilities sector (Grid Operations, Transmission & Distribution, Generation, or Retail) with track record leading multi-million-dollar transformation programs. Strong conceptual understanding of Process Mining paradigms; Celonis experience highly advantageous. Comprehensive understanding of modern enterprise stack (SAP, Oracle, Maximo) and emerging data/AI paradigms (Azure AI, LLMs). Technical fluency to direct data scientists, engineers, and solution architects. Proven capability in client origination, relationship management, and account growth.
