Scopely is seeking a Client Engineer to join the Playgami team in Barcelona on a hybrid basis. Playgami is building a SaaS gaming platform that powers award-winning mobile, web, and PC games reaching millions of players worldwide.
In this role, you will work closely with game development teams to improve advertising technology and monetization across Scopely's game portfolio. You'll be responsible for integrating and optimizing the Playgami Ads SDK in mobile games, designing and maintaining client-side advertising technology, and helping studios maximize advertising performance while preserving player experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with game teams to integrate and optimize the Playgami Ads SDK across multiple games
- Design, develop, and maintain client-side advertising technology used across Scopely's game portfolio
- Identify technical opportunities and best practices to improve ad monetization
- Collaborate with product managers, backend engineers, and game developers on new advertising capabilities
- Troubleshoot integration issues and support game teams throughout the integration lifecycle
- Contribute to the evolution of Playgami's Ads technology, driving improvements in performance, reliability, and developer experience
- Share technical knowledge and establish best practices across multiple game teams
Required qualifications:
- Strong experience developing mobile applications or SDKs using Unity, Android (Java/Kotlin), iOS (Swift/Objective-C), or similar client technologies
- Experience integrating or working with third-party SDKs and mobile frameworks
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including object-oriented design and debugging complex systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work across multiple codebases and teams
- Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders
- Customer-oriented mindset with passion for helping engineering teams succeed
- Interest in mobile performance, user experience, and software quality
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Nice-to-have experience includes mobile advertising technologies (Google Mobile Ads, AppLovin MAX, Unity Ads, ironSource), ad monetization optimization, mobile game development and live operations, SDK/platform component development, analytics and A/B testing, backend technologies, and large-scale mobile applications.
