Reserv is a venture-backed insurtech (funded by Bain Capital and Altai Ventures) automating claims processing through AI and automation technology. Founded in 2022 by insurtech veterans, the company is building a leading Third-Party Administrator (TPA) platform to modernize claims handling.
As Claims Team Lead for Cargo, you will manage a Commercial Transportation Cargo Claims adjusting team while maintaining hands-on claims responsibilities. This is a hybrid leadership role that balances team oversight with individual contributor work, scaling based on volume needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee and coach a claims adjusting team, providing feedback and professional development
- Handle claims processing across intake, investigation, evaluation, settlement, and recovery
- Serve as escalation resource for complex claims and backup to the Claims Manager
- Implement and maintain best practices aligned with client and customer expectations
- Prepare comprehensive claims reports, metrics, and analyses for clients; advise on claim trends and loss mitigation
- Attract, hire, and retain team members with strong training support
- Foster a positive, collaborative work environment
- Demonstrate flexibility to pivot between claims handling and coaching as needed
- Maintain operational effectiveness through technology and analytics leverage
