Salary: USD 185,000 - 245,000 / annual

You will join the firmware validation team to develop and validate the device software and firmware stack for Photonic Compute and Photonic Interconnect products. This is a hands-on technical role where you'll collaborate across multidisciplinary teams including photonics, analog, digital, systems, and network experts to define control architecture and drive validation testing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating across photonics, analog, digital, systems, and network teams to define control architecture for photonic interconnect products
- Driving software and firmware validation testing for photonic products
- Debugging and troubleshooting embedded systems using GDB, JTAG, and logic analyzers
- Participating in product architecture definition and validation test plan development
- Conducting reliability testing, data analysis, and software stack optimization
You bring 5+ years of ASIC firmware validation experience with a BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. You have strong hardware-software integration knowledge, practical experience with embedded systems communication and control, and commercial/enterprise-level Linux firmware development experience. You're proficient in Python, C, C++, and MongoDB, with hands-on Git and CMake expertise. Data gathering, analysis, and reporting are core competencies.
Preferred experience includes Snowflake reporting, CMIS/OpenBMC environments, optical test and measurement methodologies, and photonic transceiver firmware development. This role offers competitive compensation, equity grants, comprehensive benefits, and a hybrid workplace model in Mountain View.
