LemFi is a Series B fintech company serving diaspora communities globally with remittances, credit, savings, and investing products. The company has grown to 3 million users, processes $1.5B in monthly payment volume, and generates $160M+ in annual revenue. It is Y Combinator-backed and has expanded through acquisitions including Wealth8 and Pillar. This Chief Product & Operating Officer role reports directly to the CEO and sits on the executive team. The mandate is to own both the product roadmap across remittances, credit, savings, and investing, and the operating engine (customer ops, compliance-adjacent workflows, corridor performance, cross-functional execution) to ensure the company scales cleanly with its user base. Key outcomes for the first 12–18 months include: developing a unified product roadmap with clear prioritization tradeoffs; scaling the operating model to keep pace with user growth without proportional headcount increases; successfully integrating acquired products into a coherent user experience; establishing a repeatable process for launching new markets and products; and strengthening the tribe-based organizational model into an execution advantage. Product leadership responsibilities include owning end-to-end product strategy across all lines, setting prioritization frameworks, partnering with engineering and design to improve shipping velocity and quality, driving product integration for acquisitions, and using data and user research to identify high-leverage bets around diaspora-specific financial needs. Operations leadership responsibilities include owning the company's operating rhythm (planning cycles, cross-functional execution, performance reporting), scaling customer operations and support functions without cost-to-serve creep, building metrics infrastructure for corridor and product-level visibility, strengthening the tribe-based model, and working with compliance, risk, and finance to ensure regulatory and risk tolerance across markets. This role carries direct accountability for business KPIs: revenue growth beyond $160M+, contribution margin improvement at corridor and product level, payment volume growth beyond $1.5B monthly, keeping cost-to-serve flat or falling as users scale past 3 million, and delivering regular, trusted KPI readouts to the CEO and board. Location is London with regular travel to key markets across LemFi's operating regions. REQUIREMENTS: - 10+ years in senior product and/or operations leadership, ideally as CPO, COO, or VP-level product/ops leader at high-growth fintech or consumer company - Demonstrated track record of scaling both product org and operating model simultaneously - Direct experience with financial services in Europe or North America (strong plus) - Comfort operating in fast-moving, acquisitive environment with experience integrating acquired products/teams - Strong quantitative fluency with unit economics, cost-to-serve, and corridor-level performance metrics - Experience working directly with founder-CEO and board with strong communication skills - Bias toward building repeatable systems and processes NICE TO HAVE: - Experience with credit or lending products - Prior experience with post-acquisition integration in fintech M&A - Background in tribe/squad-based or decentralized organizational models - Existing network across South Asian or Latin American fintech and payments ecosystems
