Buena, funded by Google Ventures, is simplifying and democratizing real estate in Germany—making property search, purchase, and financing as transparent as buying an ETF. The company manages property administrations nationwide and transforms them into technology-driven businesses. In three years, Buena has grown to become Germany's third-largest property management company with approximately 25 full-time employees based in Berlin.
As Chief of Staff, Talent Attraction, you will work directly with the Head of People and own full responsibility for key talent acquisition initiatives. You will drive recruiting and headhunting efforts, test various talent channels, and continuously evolve the company's recruiting strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end recruitment processes: source candidates, create evaluation scorecards, conduct interviews, and coordinate closely with hiring teams.
- Develop and scale recruiting systems and concepts across Germany to support growth to 1,000+ employees.
- Manage five-figure budgets, identify new recruiting tools, and oversee procurement processes from start to finish.
- Meet with managing directors of acquired companies and improve HR processes across Buena's portfolio nationwide.
Buena grows through acquisitions. When new property management companies are acquired, entire teams must be rapidly restructured. The People team orchestrates this process, and you will be central to ensuring smooth talent integration and scaling.
The role offers steep learning curves in effective, technology-enabled work practices. You'll work in a meritocratic environment where delivery drives responsibility—the CEO was a Junior Product Manager three years ago; the COO was a Chief of Staff two years ago.
Requirements:
- Fluent German (C2 level) and good English proficiency.
- Preference for in-office work at the Prenzlauer Berg office in Berlin.
- Strong learning orientation around effective work practices and AI-assisted productivity.
- Self-directed work style; many team members have entrepreneurial or high-performance sports backgrounds.
- Exceptional communication skills with a preference for regular, direct interaction.
