Salary: USD 253,000 - 336,000 / annual
Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Chief Engineer for Radar to lead the Battlespace Awareness Radar team. This role combines technical leadership with product strategy and stakeholder management for innovative radar solutions serving U.S. and allied military capabilities.
You will own stakeholder engagement, product definition, technical roadmap planning, and design/development approaches for critical radar product offerings. Key responsibilities include:
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, and industry partners to gather insights, align objectives, and secure buy-in for radar products.
• Technical Ownership: Drive radar architecture and product development strategies through deep understanding of technical tradeoffs, requirements, and innovation opportunities.
• Product Strategy: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define winning product strategies that deliver differentiated customer value. Define and communicate the product development roadmap.
• Tactical Execution: Organize and prioritize engineering efforts to bring products to market. Work with functional engineering teams and other product owners to optimize resource utilization. Lead prototyping, development, and operational delivery.
Required qualifications include 4+ years as a Chief Engineer, Technical Program Manager, Product Manager, Engineering Manager, or radar/RF sensor engineer (land, maritime, or airborne). You must demonstrate deep understanding of radar system design, state-of-the-art radar technologies, and defense mission applications. Strong technical aptitude, ability to work with engineering teams, and experience shaping strategic pursuits and developing technology roadmaps are essential. A graduate degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Software Engineering (or equivalent) is required. You must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance and willing to travel 30% for customer, vendor, and internal collaboration.
Preferred qualifications include experience with JIRA, Confluence, modeling/simulation tools, developing and fielding novel hardware/software products, and strong technical/analytical skills using data to drive decisions.
