Applied Intuition is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the end-to-end delivery of its AHS (Autonomous Handling System) product to strategic site operators. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of groundbreaking physical AI technology and critical customer outcomes.
You will own the complete delivery lifecycle for AHS across production deployments, serving as the single accountable owner for shipping to production and sustaining the system in the field. Key responsibilities include:
- Establish and run a formal New Product Introduction (NPI) process with clear gateways governing the progression from initial production through all subsequent field releases
- Lead regular steering committee meetings with site operators, building presentation materials, running discussions, and securing sign-offs on delivered work
- Align workstream leads across Engineering, Finance, Quality, Product Support, Procurement, and Legal on gateway objectives and hold them accountable for execution
- Build executive-level relationships with site operators, becoming a trusted technical and strategic advisor throughout production ramp and beyond
- Ensure the right work is prioritized at the right time to the highest quality standard at every gateway and release
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years leading complex, cross-functional technical programs in automotive, industrial, or robotics domains
- Proven experience building or running a formal NPI/gated development process
- Track record of owning delivery to external customers at production scale
- Strong communication and cross-functional alignment skills
Nice-to-have experience includes mining, construction, ports, or industrial site operations; autonomous vehicle or robotics development; and steering committee or executive program review leadership.
