Pennylane is a French fintech and one of Europe's fastest-growing accounting and financial management platforms. With €400M in funding from top-tier investors including Sequoia, the company serves over 900,000 SMEs and 6,000 accounting firms across Europe. You'll join the Partner Solutions Specialists team—composed entirely of former accountants—to support accounting firms migrating to Pennylane.
As a PSS Front (Functional Project Manager), you are the primary expert and client-facing lead during migration projects, working in tandem with a PSS Back (technical architect) who handles integration and technical implementation. You own the relationship, project cadence, and functional expertise throughout the migration lifecycle.
Your core responsibilities include: conducting needs analysis and functional audits with accounting firms; planning and facilitating migration meetings from kickoff through post-implementation review; documenting requirements and user stories for internal teams; designing and delivering workshops and webinars on accounting workflows and best practices; ensuring migrations follow clear, documented processes while adapting to client-specific situations; configuring Pennylane to match existing accounting processes; conducting functional testing to validate solutions meet business requirements; supporting post-migration debugging and issue resolution; identifying and prioritizing process automation opportunities; maintaining product and accounting industry awareness to ensure feature relevance; and collaborating with the technical team on production issues as needed.
You'll work with a team that deeply understands accounting firm operations and brings both technical rigor and genuine empathy to client partnerships. The role demands strong project management discipline, accounting expertise, clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate has formal accounting training (IUT GEA, BTS CGO, DCG, DSCG, or Master CCA), hands-on experience in an accounting firm, and ideally has led or supported one or more system migrations. You communicate clearly and professionally with accountants, understand client needs deeply, and build lasting relationships. You work well independently and collaboratively, adapt quickly to product changes, and stay current with Pennylane's evolving functionality. Minimum A2 English; B1+ is preferred. Startup environment comfort and strong synthesis/teaching skills are valued.
