PhysicsX is a deep-tech company building an AI-driven simulation software stack for engineering and manufacturing across aerospace, defense, materials, energy, semiconductors, and automotive. The company accelerates hardware innovation by enabling high-fidelity, multi-physics simulation through AI inference across the engineering lifecycle.
As a CFD Engineer (Delivery), you will work at the intersection of computational fluid dynamics and machine learning to help customers solve complex engineering challenges. You'll be part of a founding team building PhysicsX's Singapore presence, with significant autonomy to shape the regional team's direction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building CFD models from geometry cleanup and meshing through simulation and post-processing for simple to moderately complex cases, with guidance from senior engineers on difficult aspects
- Adapting parametric CAD models (NX or CATIA) and contributing to simulation pipeline automation for design optimization and design-of-experiments studies
- Supporting customer-facing work by preparing and presenting results clearly, progressing toward independent customer engagement
- Generating simulation datasets for training machine learning and deep learning models, developing understanding of how data sampling affects model accuracy and cost
- Using Flux (the company's cloud platform) and on-premise HPC resources to run simulations, optimizing meshing and setup choices for performance
- Learning and applying engineering best practices to support deep learning surrogate development
- Contributing to collaboration and shared learning within the simulation engineering team, including documentation and onboarding support
- Occasional travel (Europe, Asia, Oceania) to support customer engagements alongside senior colleagues
You bring a growing foundation in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and multiphase modeling with working knowledge of at least one CFD tool (Star-CCM+, OpenFOAM, or Fluent). Experience with parametric CAD modeling and Python/Java coding is advantageous, as is the ability to quickly learn new tools. The role offers clear growth paths as an individual contributor or team lead as you develop independence and take ownership of more complex projects.
The role is based in London with 2-3 days per week in the central office.
