Catawiki is a global marketplace for buying and selling special objects, with over 100,000 unique items auctioned weekly and 25+ million objects sold to date. The company operates across 80+ categories with a team of 800+ employees representing 60+ nationalities. You will lead the Coins & Banknotes category, a significant business segment built on history, scarcity, trust, and long-term value. This role requires a senior commercial leader with proven experience in consumer goods markets who can navigate both growth acceleration and market volatility. Key responsibilities include: defining and executing long-term growth strategy for the category; owning the P&L and driving revenue, margin, and performance; leading and developing a large international expert team as direct reports; translating complex data into clear commercial priorities; anticipating and responding to market trends and seasonality; building and maintaining strong relationships with key sellers; strengthening the seller pipeline in partnership with Sales; and working cross-functionally to unlock sustainable growth. You bring proven experience managing larger teams with multiple direct reports, deep understanding of consumer goods market dynamics and cycles, strong seller/supplier relationship management experience, and senior leadership presence marked by calm, grounded, decisive decision-making. You excel at holding ground in commercial negotiations while maintaining long-term partnerships, own significant P&L responsibility with strong analytical skills, cut through complexity to focus on impact, and influence senior stakeholders across the organization. Experience in dynamic, target-driven environments is essential. Interest in coins, banknotes, history, or collecting is a plus.
