Bybit, a leading cryptocurrency exchange and digital financial platform serving 80+ million users globally, is seeking a Card Risk Operations Lead to manage its card fraud and disputes programme.
You will own real-time monitoring and investigation of card activity across CNP, card-present, ATM, and tokenised wallet transactions. Your responsibilities include investigating suspicious accounts and transactions (account takeover, card testing, BIN attacks, merchant collusion, friendly fraud, first-party abuse), making block/decline/step-up decisions, and escalating AML/sanctions concerns to Compliance. You will manage disputes and chargebacks end-to-end under Visa/Mastercard rules, including evidence gathering, representment, pre-arbitration, and arbitration.
You will collaborate with issuer-processors (Marqeta, Adyen, Thredd, Nium) and fraud tooling vendors to tune rules and velocity limits, balancing false positives against loss. You will track and report key metrics: fraud loss rate (bps), chargeback ratio, approval rate, alert handling time, and recovery rate. You will ensure the programme stays within scheme monitoring thresholds (VAMP, ECM/EFM) and support audits. You will write and maintain playbooks, SOPs, and QA checks; train Support on fraud-related customer contacts; and feed fraud trends back to Product and Engineering to improve onboarding, 3DS, and authorisation controls.
