True Anomaly is building autonomous spacecraft, advanced payloads, mission software, and space-based interceptors to secure the space environment and counter threats. As Capital Equipment Commodity Manager, you will own the strategy, sourcing, and supplier relationships for capital equipment and tooling that power manufacturing and test operations.
You will manage high-value, long-lead acquisitions including CNC machines, cleanroom equipment, test infrastructure, and facility buildouts. Working closely with engineering, facilities, and finance teams, you will ensure equipment arrives on time and on budget.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute commodity strategy for capital equipment spend across manufacturing, test, and facilities operations
- Lead sourcing events for high-value equipment acquisitions, including requirements definition, RFP issuance, proposal evaluation, and award recommendations
- Build and maintain a qualified supplier base for precision manufacturing equipment, test and measurement systems, cleanroom infrastructure, and facility-related capital
- Identify opportunities to consolidate spend, leverage preferred suppliers, and reduce total cost of ownership across the capital portfolio
- Negotiate and manage major vendor contracts with commercial rigor
- Understand both technical requirements of complex capital equipment and commercial aspects of procurement
This role requires someone with procurement expertise, technical acumen, and the ability to manage complex, high-stakes vendor relationships in an advanced manufacturing and defense technology environment.
