Peregrine Technologies, backed by leading Silicon Valley investors, is an AI-enabled platform that transforms siloed government and institutional data into operational intelligence for public safety organizations, state and local governments, federal agencies, and private-sector institutions. The company currently supports hundreds of customers across 30+ states and two countries, serving more than 125 million people. Peregrine is seeking a California Business Development Lead to accelerate expansion across the state by building high-leverage relationships with state leaders and converting those relationships into market outcomes. This is a growth-focused role, not a traditional policy position, for someone who understands how California government operates and can convert state priorities, funding structures, contracting pathways, and policy windows into business opportunities. Key responsibilities include: • Drive statewide growth by identifying and shaping opportunities to solve problems with large California agencies and uncovering funding mechanisms to deploy Peregrine across local agencies • Serve as the face of Peregrine to state and local officials, influencers, third-party advisors, lobbyists, and other external stakeholders • Build trusted relationships with senior state and local officials and convert them into concrete opportunities and deployments • Map California's strategic priorities (public safety, emergency management, data modernization, AI governance) to Peregrine's products to create actionable go-to-market pathways • Turn policy developments, funding opportunities, and procurement routes into revenue-driving initiatives • Work cross-functionally with Growth, Customer, Marketing, Communications, and Product teams to accelerate growth The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of California government structures, procurement processes, and funding mechanisms, combined with proven ability to build relationships and close complex deals in the public sector.
