Velaura is seeking a CAD & Engineering Infrastructure Lead to own the engineering platform powering silicon development. This role encompasses compute infrastructure, EDA ecosystem management, RTL-to-GDS release flows, and AI-assisted workflows that enable design teams. Key responsibilities include defining and driving engineering infrastructure requirements (compute, storage, job scheduling, security, cloud integration), leading AI adoption across RTL, verification, DFT, physical design, packaging, and software functions. You will own design-flow CI/CD pipelines, orchestration, and flow-release qualification; provide compute and deployment support for thousands of regression jobs weekly; and manage the complete flow-release process from assembly through deployment and rollback. Additionally, you will lead EDA tool deployment across multiple vendors (Synopsys, Cadence, Siemens), own EDA licensing strategy and vendor relationships, and build the platform behind AI-assisted engineering—including model access, agentic tooling, compute capacity, and data pipelines with appropriate security and IP guardrails. Required qualifications include deep understanding of the complete ASIC development lifecycle, hands-on experience owning CAD and infrastructure across successful SoC programs, and proven ability to set up and maintain integrated RTL-to-GDS flow environments. You must have strong knowledge of engineering compute infrastructure (distributed scheduling, storage, networking, cloud), EDA ecosystems from multiple vendors, version control, CI/CD platforms, and high-volume regression workloads. Scripting expertise in Python, Tcl, or Bash is essential, along with experience evaluating and deploying AI-assisted engineering tools. Preferred qualifications include scaling infrastructure in early-stage semiconductor companies, experience with advanced technology nodes, building agentic AI systems or LLM-based tooling, and supporting chiplet-based designs or advanced packaging. Velaura is building next-generation compute technology for cloud, edge, and Physical AI, enabling robots, autonomous systems, and intelligent machines. You will work alongside experienced leaders and architects who have delivered industry-defining products across mobile, cloud, semiconductor, and AI platforms.
