Pico is a global financial markets infrastructure and data services company headquartered in New York, with offices across major financial hubs including Chicago, London, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. The company provides market data services, managed infrastructure solutions, network connectivity, and analytics to the financial trading community. You will join a world-leading engineering team designing and developing features across Pico's product range, with a focus on Redline Trading Solutions—an ultra-low latency market data and order execution platform serving equities, options, futures, and foreign exchange markets. The role involves solving complex challenges in real-time data normalization and analysis, bringing this technology into new markets and deployment models. Key responsibilities include developing C applications under Linux, designing multi-threaded systems, implementing IP networking solutions, and writing maintainable, scalable code. You'll work collaboratively with highly-skilled engineers in an environment that prioritizes learning and innovation. Required qualifications: BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline; 3+ years in a tech firm (preferably fintech); proficiency in C development under Linux; knowledge of multi-threaded application development and IP networking; strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities. Desirable experience includes automated testing (unit and integration), Python and Java programming, and knowledge of financial trading concepts and protocols (FIX). This is a hybrid role with weekly office time in Krakow and flexibility to work remotely. Travel across EMEA, USA, and APAC time zones may be required occasionally. The role involves working across multiple jurisdictions and geographies.
