Salary: USD 74,600 - 106,800 / annual
Voyager Technologies is a space, defense, and national security technology company seeking a Buyer II to manage procurement operations in Pueblo, Colorado. In this role, you will place and manage purchase orders and subcontracts for both direct contract and indirect company-support acquisitions, monitor and expedite open purchase orders according to project requirements, and manage relevant purchase order data in the MRP system to ensure accuracy and completeness. You will conduct negotiations with management support to secure favorable terms, conditions, pricing, and schedules with suppliers. Key responsibilities include ensuring program requirements are appropriately prioritized and executed, proactively communicating supplier performance risks to internal customers, and supporting resolution of discrepancies related to purchasing, delivery, receiving, accounts payable invoices, and supplier payments.
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, engineering, or related discipline with 5+ years of supply chain experience, or 9+ years of purchasing field experience in lieu of a degree. You must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities, proven organizational skills and attention to detail, familiarity with procurement management and ERP systems, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Preferred qualifications include experience in the aerospace/DOD industry and familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs) and NASA procurement requirements. Travel up to 10% within the United States, including possible overnight stays, is required.
